Req: Have the Dutch Lifeline teams fixed helicopters?

Post by Robin »

Question if you don't mind; Re Lifeline Helicopter, that operate often on government work (as well as civil).

Are the callsigns numbers fixed against actual airframe registrations (and if so which ones are paired to each callsign number)?

Are the six EC-135, located at fixed bases against their airframe registrations:

Ie. PH-ELP (c/s LIFELINE3) home base Volkel ???

There are 6 helicopters 4 active and 2 for spare and trainingflights. The callsigns are linked to the base and not to the helicopters:

Amsterdam– Lifeliner 1
Rotterdam- Lifeliner 2
Volkel- Lifeliner 3
Groningen- Lifeliner 4

The spare helicopters use there own registration number on trainings flight like PH-MAA etc.
A couple of years ago the PH-ULP was based at Rotterdam, the EMS at Amsterdam, ELP at Volkel and the PH-MMT at Groningen. Nowadays the helicopters switch on regular basis.
