VFA-27's old jets returning stateside.See military news.(maybe) expect 13 brand new F/A-18Es going the other way in the(very)near future.

** update on this from a Tokyo based source,

12 F/A-18E departed Atsugi on the 12th with tanker support from KC-10A 83-0076 60 AMW and KC-135R 62-3576 HH 203 ARS,HI ANG.

The remaining 2 F/A-18E departed Atsugi on the 15th to NAF Wake Island(PKWA).

So far,no callsigns or which F/A-18Es departed on which days.

Might VFA-27's Lot 25 jets be going to VFA-151 (latest squadron to transition to 'E')? Makes sense for VFA-27 to get new Lot 35s as CVW-5 squadrons (being permanently forward-deployed) will now all have Lot 31 or later aircraft.
