WHIDBEY ISLAND, Wash. (NNS) -- A Navy E/A-6B that took off from Naval Air
Station Whidbey Island, Wash. went down March 11 in the eastern part of the
state according to a Navy report.

The report was received by officials at NAS Whidbey Island at about 8:45
a.m. (PST) on Monday.

The status of the aircrew is unknown at this time. The Navy is
investigating the report and will provide more information as it becomes available.

Lincoln County Sheriff Wade Magers said three people were killed in the crash. The Navy has not officially confirmed the status of those aboard.
