USAF C-137 86008

Post by Joel Vogt »

Good evening!

Having just screened this picture, I wanted to complete the USAF serial and got stuck somewhere nowhere, because I just could not properly identify this a/c:

http://www.flugzeugbilder.de/show.php?id=1209820

The uploader entered it as a EC-137D (it being some sort of C-137 was obvious as well to me ...), apparently operated by the AFSOC from Hurlburt Field. The Scramble USAF database lists an EC-137D 88-6008, but this entry is marked as uncertain.

So, if anyone could provide us with more information, that would be VERY welcome. :)

Cheers

86008 doesn't say it will be from a fysical year ending with an 8 , and if it does , 1988 will probaply not be the year. Also I couldn't find a match , but there are no C-137's around fysical year 88.

There was another EC-137D wich I've seen for myself and that was serialed 19417 wich in case was 67-19417. For a picture ; http://www.air-passion.be/fas/engine/di ... =20&pos=41
It has the same antenna configuration, and with that it for sure could be designated EC-137D.

The real full serial will probaply be unknown......maybe.
