LOG GA and AL (mil)

Post by Oscar01 »

Evening,

Here's my result of a bit of spotting last weekend. Not that good, but still......

05-04-2013 Dobbins JARB
3x C-5
2x C-17
6x local C-130
Nothing could be read, what a ****** base..... Perhaps if they fly, you can stand well on one side (but very much in view of everybody)

06-04-2013 Birmingham IAP
N945NA Gulf(?) NASA
58-0004 KC-135R
58-0074
58-0106
61-0318
63-7984
74 had markings from another unit, but seems to be flying with the locals. Always check the ramps near the tower (civil side), that's where they might park up visitors. Despite the fact that the nasa was civil, it looked very nice!

06-04-2013 Maxwell AFB
85-0036 C-130H
85-0035
86-0413
Only 3 locals here.

06-04-2013 Montgomery
87-0217/AL F-16C/D
87-0219/AL
87-0220/AL
87-0221/AL
87-0222/AL
87-0232/AL
87-0263/AL
87-0271/AL
87-0276/AL
87-0283/AL
87-0336/AL
88-0151/AL red tail
87-0379/AL red tail
88-0398/AL
88-0399/AL
88-0400/AL
Plus some more. No flying, despite saturday in drill weekend. Also 78-0042 "187FW" and 66-7745 were seen at gate. On the civil side, there was a cockpit section of a UH-1. Any clue?

06-04-2013 Warner Robins
86-0024 C-5
87-0032 bare metal
95-0102 C-17
96-0002
96-0006
01-0192
03-3118
05-5140
07-7187
+3 incl 1 AK and 1 MS
91-9141 C-130H NY ANG
At least 10 C-130s (mainly SOS) were seen. Believe one ended with 0032, but cannot find it.
88-1667/MO F-15E
+ 1 more MO F-15E and 2 F-15Cs (not sure of unit though)
5x E-8 on other side
What a base! So much to see, and so difficult to read. Took me some time, and was lucky not to have problems. If you take the main road from the center towards the base (247C) and when approaching the field, go left, and then there is first a gate on the right (not in use) where you can read some) and a bit later there is a car shop on the left of the road.
Museum was cool as well (and free).

Might see some more in the next few weeks, but first have to work. Comments are always welcome!

Seen inbound Dobbins today were 2x 1 C-130 (or 1x 2?) around 12.00 / 12.30

Seen doing an approach at 16.45 was a single F-18 which did another approach at 17.00 local today.

Any info would be highly appreciated.
