Cool! SR71's flying from Mildenhall.....The Il-20 flight last saturday follow the US flight track with RC-135U/V/W (and SR-71) from Mildenhall, specially from the cold war directed against Russian/Soviet air defence.
But i believe the Il-20 version is a research plane with new sensors.
After closed parlament heerings yesterday the military commander and intelligence declared following:
1) The Air Force QRA fighters are parttime ready, day time, 60 hours a week.
2) The Russian formation did stay at international airspace.
3) The Defence are 24/7 ready. 24 hours per day, 7 days a week. Which means CAOC ready with automated radar and sigint (no flying).
Sweden has always earlier used 24/7 QRA fighters.
But now appears that politicans have not informed other parties and press about the change.
Defence is general political in Sweden.
The question is if not were is secret agreements with NATO.
In Sweden we are surprised of the Russian simulated Russian attack, who are very aggresive in natur. We don´t accept it.
