U caught some good stuff in Alliance on Sun.... surprise there is still one of those MD A-10C..

ANwyay! did U catch the AN-124 ? I saw the Antonov doing a base and final for runway 35 at about 4:30Pm in JRB!

The left A-10 had a leak and a pilot in hospital so also still there.

NAVAL AIR STATION FORT WORTH JOINT RESERVE BASE, Texas – The 301st Fighter Wing and 136th Airlift Wing will move flight operations to Alliance airport for approximately one month. Aircraft will begin moving to Alliance July 29 and will likely stay through the entire month of August.
The move allows much needed runway repairs to take place at NAS Fort Worth Joint Reserve Base. The repairs will decrease the foreign object debris hazard from the aging runway which has surpassed its service life.
During the repairs, approximately 125 base personnel will be present at Alliance Airport, along with 20 F-16s and 6 C-130s.

8/17 KAFW/..... still no fly day for the Spads..... oh well ! 2 weekend in a row.....

But we got some interesting transient traffic... 3 harriers from VMFA 542 showed up on 8/16 Friday.

they left on Sat Afternoon.... a really differnt approach to normal aircraft.... 3 aircraft showed taxi by us and uses Taxi way A , B and C. call up tower and all 3 aircraft enter active runway and took off together...
