EHLE/Lelystad 11-05-2013 incident PH-FUT

Post by ph-krs »

PH-FUT - Velocity 173 RG made a bellylanding in the grass next to the runway due to problems with the nosewheel. It had made at least two low passes to get a visual check of gear status by the tower. Occupants are safe and damage is believed to be minor.

Strictly speaking, it's not even a belly landing as its main gear is down. So, probably no damage to prop and engine, just the initial nose gear problem and a few dents and scratches as a result of that. Could have been worse..
