Still interesting place although in my opinion especially in the afternoons low traffic.
Within 15 minutes after our arrival we had a warm welcome by the militaries who came to check our permits. Saw them later that evening for a second time but as it was the same crew they remebered us. We did see them only the first day and only on the perimeter roads around CDG. Never saw them in CDG.
In comparison to about 6-7 years ago you now see what alliances mean and lead to...the effect for T1 was in the afternoon hardly occupied after the A380's of SQ-MAS-Thai had left.
Some lost plane at one of the satellites of T1 was all, I think >50% of the gates at t1 where not used at all in the afternoon.
T2 very busy I think due to the Skyteam alliance overthere.
Finally T3 which used to be a busy place too many years ago. Maybe because of the weekdays I was there, but it wasn't that busy as well.
But with a few days of CDG you are always rewarded with something nice.
A point of concern can be some of the infrastructural developments;
As you might know the morningposition at the // is a bit challenging nowadays.
We were told by a local one still can enter the space in the double fence area at the left side if looking towards the west. But you have to enter it at the far left side (T2 side).
At the right side (near the concorde) there is some 3-4 meters single fence left from where as example the Niki is captured.
In this corner a new parkingplace is being completed these days.
If this parking place is going to be be fenced off too, it might become a problem for us reaching this spot in future....only time will tell.
The meteo area in the afternoon is not becoming better for us. In front of T1 the only decent place for photograpy is before the gate which is not in use anymore. On the left side of that gate towards the meteo a fence of > 4 mtrs is erected. Ladders are about to be useless overthere...you'll need a highloader now

The office building is in use again and if you use the stair for a hit and run photo you may be chased off from there or not if you are lucky.
Near the bridge in front of the Meteo office photography is still ok, although be warned for the nasty barbed wires on top of the fence.
T3 still accessible as always and same "low" fence for years already now.
Now to go on with some sunny shots, more to follow later upcoming week
best regards
Vincent
