Rob,
Re '1978' /(909).
Have a look at Phil's picture of 909 on Eurodemobbed taken in 2010. That shows the serial without the white outline and so might answer your question.

I think we 99% sure 909 is the one.
Only one "1978" was ever noted in Hungary, the 909.

I think we 99% sure 909 is the one.
Only one "1978" was ever noted in Hungary, the 909.

I did not go to Kecskemet, but I checked 4 out of the 5 Russians at Langkawi in March:
08 bl = 36911038304
10 bl = 36911038405
20 bl = 96310430084
24 bl = 96310432305
I seriously doubt they will have changed since then.
