It would appear VMA-214 have inherated the VMA-513 jets in situ at Kadena.

165595 WE-02 is now in full VMA-214 markings,noted 12th June.
165380 WF-03 has the VMA-513 marks removed by the 12th June.But was still flying as WF-03 on the 13th.
165573 WE-04 in now in full VMA-214 markings,noted 13th June

VMA-513 is due to be disbanded immenently.

Hi,

Some info on the VMFA-122 Hornets returning from Japan to MCAS Beaufort.

July 16:
FEUD 11-16 departed from Hickam AFB enroute to Miramar with KC-10 PETRO 61 (79-1950).
FEUD 21-23 departed from Hickam AFB enroute to Miramar with KC-10 PETRO 71 (83-0075).

July 20:
FEUD 24/25 departed from Hickam AFB enroute to Miramar with KC-10 PETRO 71 (84-0187).

Unfortunately I don't have any information on their final leg from Miramar to MCAS Beaufort.

KC-10A 84-0187 PETRO 71 overflew the El Paso,Texas area on the 21 July,so it would seem likely FEUD24/25 did a single night stop at Miramar.

VMFA-112 have arrived at Iwakuni for what is reported as the next UDP rotation.4 of their jets were noted at Kadena on the 9th August,these were modexes 02,04,10 and 15.

These jets should be the following Bu numbers,

162428 MA-02
162452 MA-04
163099 MA-10
162843 MA-15

Confirmation from someone at Navy?.

Time will tell if this unit remains here for the full six month UDP.

Can confirm MA-15 as 162843 when departed NFW on deployment on 8 July. Others confirmed at time of deployment are

162467 MA-14

Unknown tie-ups at this time are 00, 01, 06, 07, 08, 11 and 16. (Note: '04' was not noted with other 12 that departed as a group in July.)

Re Tallies post on 23 Aug, the BuNos are correct for the following modex:

MA00, 01, 02, 06, 07, 08, 10, 11, 12, 15 and 16.

I don't show 162467/MA14 as being with the unit!

MA04 should be 162452.

Hi,

VMFA(AW)-533 returned from Japan in the last few days, the first cell arrived as DIRCA 11 flight with KC-10 BORA 61,
and the second cell arrived today at Miramar as DIRCA 21 flight with KC-135s BORA 62, BORA 72 and BORA 82.

The final VMFA(AW)-533 Hornets arrived last Wednesday as DIRCA 31-35 at Miramar with tankers BORA 72 and 73.

Seen at MCAS Iwakuni on 01st November was a UDP EA-6B CY-03.

Looking at the previous posts on this thread,it appears this UDP change has been missed.

Anyone out there know what the new modexes for the Prowlers are?.
