Req. 2 a/c @MiracleOfAmeric museum+F-18 serial conf. at GJT

Post by PH-BRAD »

Hello y'all,

I visited the U.S. this year and drove past the "Miracle of America" in the city of Polson, MT.
I saw a T-33 and a helicopter while driving on the U.S. route 93, anyone for their serials?

And I spotted this F-18 at Grand Junction but I don't know if its serial is either 165917 or 165674.
Here's a photo of it, the only readable information is NJ-112:

Thanks in advance!

Hi,

According to the USMOOS 2010/2011 they have got several choppers in Polson. Hueys and H-13's. Of the latter there should be one on top of a shed, maybe you have seen that one, but that one is unknown.
The T-33B is 141549 ex USN.

Best regards,

Thanks! At least I got the T-33's number, the helicopter wasn't a Huey and certainly not a H-13. It neither was a Whirlwind, maybe it could (more likely) be a Sikorsky H-19, but helicopters aren't my speciality and certainly not Cold War-era helicopters!
