REQ history of DH82A OY-DGH

Post by witje »

This DH82A is ex DF203 RAF and ex E-8.
Now is my question from which country is serial E-8?

I saw also serial E-4. This Tiger Moth is now preserved at the museum in Sinheim as DE623.

I couldn't find anything about these serials?

According to "The complete Civil Aircraft Registers of Denmark since 1920" (Air-Britain):
the c/n is stated as 85919/E-8, ex regi's D-EDAS and before that DF203.
I do not know where that E-8 comes from though...

Seems to be many more

E-1 cn82061
E-3 cn85478
E-4 cn82043
E-6 cn83666
E-7 cn82075
E-10 cn85033
E-10(2) cn85880
E-12 cn82455
E-13 cn85223
E-16 cn85830
E-17 cn85133

And I guess the ones in-between probably also existed. All seem to have gone on to German Civil register in 1955-56, But from where I can't figure out.

I didn't check it myself (still at work), but according to my mate Frank Mink they probably are ex Uruguay Air Force.

The Danish AF had 12 Tiger Moths in service and they began with the letter S-.. in stead of the letter E-..

Greetz.
