EBBR 22-23/10/2013 NATO meeting

Hello everyone

I'm very sorry I cannot deliver you all some valuable information but just wanted to give a 'heads-up' for this event.
Tuesday 22 and Wednesday 23 there will be a NATO-Russia defence ministers meeting at Brussels.

Start 22 October 2013 at 10AM (LT) according to press and NATO agenda
End 23 October 2013 about 18PM (LT) acc. to various press

Russian defence minister will join the meeting the 23th expectedly from the beginning at 10AM untill the end.

Cannot supply you all with arrival/departure times, maybe someone around here knows more and is willing to share ..?
I do expect the normal visitors, do not know if Ukraine will again visit with it's Tu134 like last 2 times but Russia will use it's proper equipment for military DV's ... probably Tu154M or IL62M (like last time).

Thx for the warning Tu154, just spotted him at the same time on FlightRadar24 (surprised he popped up there).
Arrived RWY 19 at 18h10LT as 'Aeroflot 9006' (AFL9006).

Parked head-on to Abelag parking, in the center of the Abelag platform, right next to the USAF C-32A.
For the rest Abelag apron was empty, spotted Polish EMB-RJ175, Spanish Air Force Falcon 900 and Luftwaffe A319-CJ on the right of the abelag platform, right infront of the Sabena tech (X-air) hangar with a lot of bizjets in front so no pictures possible as from that position at this moment.

Allright, thanks for your reply we will be visiting BRU tomorrow from AMS, so hopefully we will catch some departures and arrivals from the NATO visitors.

Indeed, as member Tu154 mentioned only the US and the Russian are able to be photographed. The Tu154M head-on (maybe from the extreme right corner a bit less), the US C-32 a bit less head-on (but if you take picture from the right corner, the Tu154 will be partly obstructing the view). The Tu154 might be possible to photograph from the Abelag entrance gate (but you don't have that info from me ... ). But be quick because they generally don't like photographers there ... especially if there are VIP's arriving/departing.

The rest is indeed parked in front of the hangars to the right of the Abelag parking, too distant and way too many other bizjet traffic in front of it (scattered around the place like chaos). But maybe they will place them on the Abelag apron later on the day tomorrow.
Italy Air Force A319-CJ was also at BRU this afternoon , don't know it's still there but I think so. Since I didn't see it I believe it's parked at Melsbroek (though can't confirm that) like it usually is.

Don't know if you will see something in the afternoon, it might be rather departures then arrivals, and then again ... I hope they depart before sunset because the meeting itself is untill 18LT but I don't know if all delegations stay till the end. I'd just hope for you guys that the Tu154 leaves in daylight. How I wish someone would know anything more about the actual departures .. then I could arrange something at work ...
