An American Airlines Boeing 767-300, registration N373AA performing flight AA-916 from Bogota (Colombia) to Miami,FL (USA),
was climbing through FL250 out of Bogota when a loud bang occurred from the underside and right hand side of the aircraft,
the crew received indication that the right hand overwing slide had deployed in flight with the right hand emergency exits firmly closed.

The slide subsequently separated from the aircraft.

A rather rare and peculiar incident...

Has happened before in the past.
That slide cover mechanism of the overwing slides is very scary
