Hi, all.
I'll tell you my own expectation of FY 2014 schedule for your travel aid.
JSDF usually release their official show schedule(s) by the March-end, but this year they don't. When I get the infos. about the Japanese air show schedule, I'll update this list as soon as possible.

but you can see some flights from out side.

Some infos. for 2014.

<General>
1. Usually, the JASDF release their open house schedule at around 20th March every year.
2. Usually, the JGSDF release their open house schedule at early March, because they open their camps at the season of the cherry blossoms(early April).
3. Usually, the JMSDF release their open house schedule about 2 month before.
4. JASDF/JGSDF/JMSDF are "holiday" on Sat. and Sun. and the National holidays in Japan.
There are no activities. (Except routine maritime patrol, exercise, emergency and /or some special missions)
5.There are also no activities on these days;
1) The day of the local school examinations.
2) The day of the Flying Safety which is usually 1st. Jul..
3) The year-end and 1st week of the new year(usually, around 25.Dec to 6 Jan.)
4) "O-bon" period, usually around 12 Aug. to 16 Aug..
6. Check the NOTAM from this site;

You' ll be able to get the time schedule of the mass flight, para-drop, and aerobatic
flights etc., for the airshow training.

<JASDF>
1. There remains about 60 F-4EJ kai s at 301sqn.(Nyutabaru), 302sqn.(Hyakuri) and
ADTW(Gifu). 7 original F-4EJs are also flying at Gifu(TPC use).
You can see them at least FY2018-end(March of the 2019, source: MINDEF purchase program 2014)

2. There are 8 RF-4Es and 5 RF-4EJs at 501sqn.(Hyakuri).
The 501sqn. will change to a fighter sqn. by FY2020.

3. 13 F-2Bs which were washed by the Tsunami on 11 Mar., 2011 are under repairing.

4. There are still only two XC-2s at Gifu.
JASDF will get two C-2s in FY2014(I think it will be March 2015) and they will go to Miho A.B.. Further 4 more C-2s will deliver to the JASDF on FY2015.

5. They made new 602 sqn.(E-2Cs) at Naha on 20 Apr., 2014.

6. No infos. for the "Senkyo(*)" by now.
* Senkyo : Shortend term of the "Sengi-Kyougikai" in Japanese, meaning "The ACM meet in JASDF".

7. 304 sqn. (F-15s, Tsuiki) will move to Naha in FY2015.

8. It is 60th anniversary for the JASDF. There appear a lot of special marking a/cs..

9. TRDI's ATD-X(Advanced Technology Demonstratoer) will make its F/F in Jan. 2015 at MHI, Komaki. After some test flight, it will move to Gifu and will fly 4 years.

<JMSDF>
1. The second-hand KC-130R delivery will be July, though it was announced by March, 2014.
5 more KC-130Rs will arrive in FY2014 (by November).
We bought those 6 C-130s 15,200,000,000JPY (Mar. 2012).

2. YS-11M 9042 was retired on 28 Mar., 2014. The last two YS-11Ms(9041 and 9043, 61FS/Atsugi) will be retired by Nov., 2014.

3. To say about the Kawasaki P-1s ;
5501 is modifying to UP-1(Flying test bed) .
5502 is modifying to the production type.
5507 made its 1st. flight on Dec. 20., 2013.
5508 made its 1st.flight on 27 Aug., 2014.
All the P-1s are belong to the VX-51, JMSDF Atsugi.

3. Two US-1As(9089 and 9090) are still in action. 9090 will fly 2 more years at least.

<JGSDF>
1. Less than 13 UH-1"H"s are still flying in the JGSDF. Others are UH-1"J"s.
2. 2 LR-1s are still in service.(One maybe retire by Aug. 2014)

They did not release the date for Gifu and komaki.

There will be a static show, small airshow and flypast (latter two only if the weather is 'acceptable'). The base is not accessible for the public and roads leading to the normal spottinglocations at the fence will be blocked. Security around the base is very tight on this day. It will be possible to go to the fence after the VVIPs have left, usually late afternoon.
