Silly question maybe, but what's an E-7?Piet Luijken wrote:Nellis AFB hosts Red Flag 14-1 Jan 27 to Feb. 14, 2014
More than 125 aircraft are scheduled to depart Nellis twice a day and aircraft may remain in the air for up to five hours. Flying times are scheduled to accommodate other flying missions at Nellis AFB and provide Red Flag participants with valuable training in planning and executing a wide-variety of combat missions.
The exercise will include U.S. forces and aircraft from:
In addition to U.S. aircraft, the Royal Australian Air Force, flying an E-7 and F-18s, and the Royal Air Force of the United Kingdom, flying Typhoons, GR-4 Tornados, and an E-3D will participate in Red Flag 14-1.
That's something different....- 96th Test Wing, 40th Flight Test Squadron, F-15Cs, Eglin AFB, Fla.
The Aussies are on the way (ASY859 Flt into PGUA today) and the E-7A is A30-005 calling ASY251.Piet Luijken wrote:Nellis AFB hosts Red Flag 14-1 Jan 27 to Feb. 14, 2014

The special marks bird (A21-49) has not made it to KLSV. One jet had to do an emergency landing at Anderson AFB with a hydraulic leak and it appears this is the jet. There are seven RAAF Hornets on the Nellis flight line as of 07.30 on the 30th.GIPS wrote:A21-21, A21-23, A21-45 and A21-49 departed williamstown..The 49 was the special 77sqn bird
