According to the following newspaper article (in Dutch), the Surinam AF is trying to sell of its entire inventory of aircraft. The aircraft have been unused for several years and are (probably) in need of repairs, even though most have very few hours "on the clock". The AF hopes to be able to buy new, cheaper, equipment in the future if they can afford it; three Dhruvs that were ordered from India some 5 years ago still have to be delivered. The grounded fleet includes 3 Islanders, a Cessna and two CASA's.
