FlyBe announces SEN-Groningen start 5 June 2014

Post by XYZ »

Flybe has announced details about its new flights from London Southend to France, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.

The services will be operated by Stobart Air ATR72 under a new deal announced last week.

This will see Flybe offering six new routes to Rennes and Caen Normandie in France; Groningen in the Netherlands; Münster Osnabrück and Cologne Bonn in Germany; and Antwerp, Belgium.

This will see a total of 102 weekly flights operating from the Essex gateway, which Flybe forecasts will be used by 200,000 passengers in the first year, rising to 700,000 by 2017.

Services to Rennes, Groningen and Münster Osnabrück will commence on June 5, with services to Cologne Bonn, Caen Normandie and Antwerp starting on July 3.

Today I saw Flybe billboards in Leeuwarden where they advertised for 5 flights vv a week, so it seems to be credible.
