German F-86 question

Post by mwpeters »

I was wondering if someone could help me with a full serial list of the West German AF F-86's. I am looking for some references between the USAF serial and the German code system.

The Germans operated Italian built F-86Ks which did have USAF serial numbers assigned. Check Joe Baugher's site for serials (look for Luftwaffe). He mentions 88, of which many never flew for the Luftwaffe.
The rest (300) were Canadian built Sabres and those never got USAF serials as far as I know.
I am not aware of any other Sabres with the Luftwaffe that had USAF serials.

This side may also be of use:
http://www.flugzeugforum.de/threads/530 ... 1968/page7
page 7 has the most Sabres, also look at other pages, no USAF serials found.

type "F-86K" will give you all USAF MDAP serials
type "CL-13A" will give you all CL-13As with their former Canadian serials
type "CL-13B" will give you almost all CL-13Bs

Stefan
