Israel Air Force A-4s

Post by Starman »

For about 20 years some two dozen time expired IAF A-4s have been in use as targets on bombing ranges. Google Earth has recently make it possible to go see some of these, and this year it was the turn of range number 80 in the Ramon Crater where the following can still be found.

A-4F 608 (one of those delivered during the 1973 YKW flown from the US apparently making use of carrier landings en-route)

I know some people have been complaining about grey aircraft and cloudy skies, this should help :)

Interesting to see they're only rear fuselages. What has happened to the nose sections?
