Registration for the spottersday was opened on April 14; after half a day, the maximum number of participants had been reached (250) and the registration was closed... (Source: RDAF Karup Airshow website)
I am considering going to Karup for the airshow. Has anybody been there already? Is the public positioned on the south side of the runway? How far is the crowd line from the runway? Are the aircraft on static display surrounded by fences or cones and ropes? Generaly, is it a good airshow for taking photographs?
I will be in Germany during this weekend and thought about traveling up for the air show. When on the southside during the air show for the public are you shooting into the sun at all? I would love to catch the SU 27 this year.
Expectations from the Karup website:
F/A-18F (F)
Swedish Gripen (S/F)
Czech L-159 (S/F)
German Bo.105 (S/F)
Eurofighter (country not mentioned) (S/F)
Estonian An-2 (S)
Estonian L-39 (F)
Serbian An-26 (S)
Norwegian Da.20 (S)
+ all Danish stuff of course
Just a note for the mods: I don't mind merging topics and removing the doubles, but please do note that the other (now deleted) topic was linked to from the airshow calendar. That was also how I got to it in the first place. That link is now broken as it points to a deleted topic. Maybe a good idea to fix that link as well.

Oops, thanks for the double heads-up. Hopefully we can correct it soon!
