Hello everyone (after a long break)!
Yesterday I happend to post 2 different topics (1 & 2) in the Radio Activity forum, containing "logs" from http://www.flightradar24.com site (FR24), on interesting (as I thought) airplanes, being then currently in flight.
I am aware these are not logs in the most conventional way, but I guess they may be of some value to our users, including the possibility of live tracking an interesting plane (for those without their own SSB/ADS-B receiver).
What do all of you think of it?
Do you find this kind of "logs" useful? And worth publishing? Or on contrary?
What's the best place on Scramble forum to publish such "logs" (if any)? Is it Radio Activity? Or maybe what's the other, more suitable place at all (like Twitter? don't know...)?
And if you like the idea, and forecast even growing demand for such logs (which I personally do), maybe it's the right time to create a new subforum (like the mentioned Radio Activity) to contain exclusively such "logs" in the nearest future?
As a radiomonitoring devoted spotter I think of a close connection between radio activity and FR24 live flights tracking. Also for this reason I would personally consider such "live tracking logs" as something quite different to SBS post factum logs published more and more often (prooving them to be both popular and useful) in the Radio Activity subforum. But maybe it would be a good idea to unite these 2 kinds of "virtual logs" and make for them a proper place (which they deserve(?)) on Scramble forum? Or even make one common "Virtual logs" forum with 2 subforums (like current/live and past)?
Just sharing my concerns/ideas/thoughts with you... Would highly appreciate your feedback!
