Russian Su-35 close call during landing

Post by P.Terlouw »

During the 80th Anniversary of the Sukhoi factory this Sukhoi Su-35 "08" RED almost crashlanded after his show. After a hard touchdown it bounced over to its left wing and scraped the runway.

it is two different occasions. The incident with 08 RED was last week and it is an identical incident which happened with the 901 BLACK during MAKS 2009. It says so in the report. Although in Chinese -> Google translate is your friend  .

All in all this makes two occasions. And There have been sort of the same type of incidents before (starting with the Mig-29's at Fairford ) Is this coincedence or culture?

Two seperate occasions where the Su-35 turns in too short after its display. Maybe the same pilot.

The MiG-29's was something completely different. They lost sight of each other in a sequal loop and they hit each other in mid-air.

A combination probably. How many flighthours does an average Russian fighterpilot makes? The bare minimum to stay current?
