5 HC hosted an open day last weekend, 20/21Sept with a co-located trade show on Friday. Unfortunately, base personnel were around in force so not many full serials obtained.
Noted were: Tigres HAP 2001/BHH, 2003/BHJ, 2006/BHL, 2033/BHZ, 2036/BID, 2037/BIE, 2038/BIF, sure there was a HAD there but can't find a note!
SA330B (Puma)1049/DAE (sans rotors), 1149/DAP, 1632/DBN, 1186/DCZ. On their ramp were six more in at least three different camo shades: DAR/(1173), DCI (1122), DCZ (1186), DCK (1130), DDK (1231) & DBM (1617) no serials read, can anyone help? And another rotorless Puma was in a hangar.
Lots of Gazelles about but few details: GCH/4172, GAU/3957 then it gets a bit messy, GCF, GAG, GBL, GBQ, GCG, GEZ and parked in the grass "A" (GCA), "C " (GNC), "K" (GAK), "N" (GCN) and "S", so nought out of ten there.
Visiting were the Cartouche Dore with Epsilons 141/ZF, 69/WL, 90/XG & 116/YG (parking order, sorry) and a PC-6/B2-H2 889 MCC (not exactly what I logged, but, hey!) an NH-90 1290/EAE, a Stampe F-BCQB/364, plus a Bird Dog 24585 from Dax museum with an unmarked B-47. Two Mirage MMs flew by at 14.03 while I was in a hospitality hangar, hic!
No gate guards / preservations noted here, but nearby the Parachutist Museum is guarded by Norry 161/63-BP & SA-330B Puma 1075 (BRY)
