B-25 Mitchell Top Turret View.

This World War Two B25 bomber, built in 1944, is named "Miss Mitchell" and is flown by the Minnesota wing of the Commemorative Air Force (http://www.cafmn.org).

"Miss Mitchell" is one of the few flying B25s with operative gun turrets. The Commemorative Air Force is a non profit organization that preserves and restores historical aircraft, with an emphasis in sharing these aircraft with the public at airshows around America.

Operating ball turret in the Collings B-24J at Bomber Camp Full Vid

** Wind Warning at Times** Full Vid. (Taigh Ramey) I had a vision in my head about putting a camera on the end of the 50 cal gun facing the ball turret so you could see the aircraft rotating in the background. Whitney, the crew chief on the B-24 and a great guy, installed his Gopro camera and captured exactly what I had in mind.

"Glenn Miller Music Alarm"...
Wayne worked hard to make the ball turret in the Collings Foundation's B-17G 909 operational. I was lucky enough to be able to take it for a spin thanks to Jim Harley. This was a childhood dream come true.

Incidentally I am six foot four and 285 pounds of grace and beauty...right Mac? So despite all the rumors; you do not really have to be tiny to fit into a ball turret.
