Noted here on a brief stop during our summer holiday where:

28-7-2014 (11:00-11:25lt)

Main ramp
R158/(61-ZX) C-160R ET00.064
4588/(61-PM) C-130H ET00.061
(5140)/61-PD C-130H-30 ET00.061
5151/(61-PH) C-130H ET00.061
(9035)/JBF EC.145 Gendarmerie (arrival)

Sadly no new A.400's outside

Dispersal (stored)
R1/(61-MA)
R12/(61-MG)
R15/(61-MJ)
R43/(61-MO)
R48/(61-MT)
F49/59-MU
R92/(61-ZJ)
R98/(61-ZP)
R153/(61-ZS)

Preserved just north of the base is the fuselage of a N.2501 (12) in a town called St. Perrawy en Colombe.

I hope this is of interest!

Cheers,

6th of June 2014
While passing city of Orleans on the Peage (Friday 6th June) around 16h00 I notice a Super Etandard coming in Orleans. I know, it might be a long shot... but perhaps some one knows which one it was?
Kind Regards / Groeten,

Hi Sjoerd,

I'm on holidays in the area of Orleans and was there before. Read 2 C-130s from the road between the hangars/buildings. Is that where you read these off??
Last year they were constructing a large wal on the Side where the road to St. peravy/Chateaudun is. Are there still opportunities to have a look?

Thanks for the log!

Hey Perrie,

Yes, the main ramp is best to be read of on the east side between the hangars/buildings. In 2006 I was able to read some of from the crash gate (dead end road North of the D955), just West of the main ramp, but that spot is obstructed now by the new (A400?) hangars.

The dispersal (storage) is best to be read from the small town Clos Aubry (just south of the D955).

I hope this helps!

Cheers,
