Preset channel numbers

Post by T-O »

From October 2014, we noticed that some of the UHF channel presettings in "our" F-16 have been changed.

CH08 -> CH04
CH12 -> CH03
CH16 -> CH11

Does anyone have more information or additions on this subject?
Are the changes due to new NATO standard?

Reason for the change should be that the pilots find it more logical...

To make it easy CH4 is the previous CH8 for local based aircraft only. If a Volkel based F16 is flying to Leeuwarden that F16 will use CH4 for RAPCON South (its homebase) and CH8 for RAPCON North. However, a Leeuwarden based F16 flying from Leeuwarden to Volkel will use CH4 for RAPCON North (homebase) and CH8 for RAPCON south.

Is there a source where we can find the preset channel lists for all the flying aircraft of het RNLAF?
