The downed F16 in Syria is a former Belgian F16A, which was registered: FA-78 until 2009.

No, one F-16 from AV was shot down over Bosnia or Serbia in 1995. Later, in 1999, another US F-16 was lost over Serbia. In the first Gulf war, several US F-16's were downed.

And don't forget the Turkish F-16D which was shot down by a Greek Mirage 2000 back in 1996.

The United States has denied that Islamic State militants shot down the Jordanian aircraft. The head of U.S. Central Command, Gen. Lloyd Austin, said the U.S. will not tolerate the militant group's "attempts to misrepresent or exploit this unfortunate aircraft crash for their own purposes."
The young pilot allegedly told his interviewer that he was sweeping the Raqqa area, capital of the Islamic State, in a party that included Saudi F-15s, Emirati F-16s, and Moroccan F-16s.

I couldn't find in the M.A.M from 2008 the FA78, they jump from FA77 to FA81.
In an earlier version from M.A.M. she's noted as being one of the many A versions who wil be updated to MLU.
