On the 17th of May 1985, two F/A-18B's A21-101 and A21-102 landed at RAAF Base Williamtown after a Non- stop flight from Naval Air Station Lemoore in California's Central Valley. This Flight took close to 15 hours with 15 air-to-air refuels.

With May this year being the 30th anniversary of Hornet operations, Royal Australian Air Force has painted F/A-18A A21-35 with a special scheme to help showcase the great service this aircraft has given to Australia.

Spotters Magazine Australia/New Zealand is very happy to bring you the first image the public is allowed to see.
We truly thank the RAAF for this great experience.
