Incident: KLM B738 at Amsterdam on Mar 1st 2015, problem with brakes
A KLM Boeing 737-800, registration PH-BXG performing flight KL-1618 from Milan Linate (Italy) to Amsterdam (Netherlands),
was descending towards Amsterdam when the crew reported a problem with the brakes, turned off the approach to run the related checklists,
and subsequently positioned for a landing on runway 27 with emergency services on stand by,
the crew advised they needed to monitor the brakes temperatures.
The aircraft landed safely on Amsterdam's runway 27 about 20 minutes later, vacated the runway and taxied to the apron.
Just listening back a recording of 120.875 yesterday evening. (March 1st)
Sounded like Europe 2576 with a medical emergency.
I do not have a clue to which airfield this one diverted to.
Or this is a regurlar flight to Amsterdam?
A Cathay Pacific Boeing 777-300, registration B-KPC performing flight CX-251 (dep Mar 28th) from Hong Kong (China) to London Heathrow,EN (UK) with 289 people on board, was enroute at FL360 about 170nm northeast of Amsterdam (Netherlands) over the North Sea, when the crew reported a fire in the cabin and decided to divert to Amsterdam.
