Nine countries will take part in the international pilot competition Aviadarts, which will be held in Russia in August, - the Chief of the Air Force of the Russian Federation Victor Bondar told the reporters.
Aviadarts is the competition invented in Russia where pilots compete in precision firing of missile systems and aircraft's guns. In 2014 the competition was attended by more than 80 crews from Russia, China and Belarus.
This year nine countries will participate in Aviadarts: Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia, India, China, Pakistan; Bahrain will come as an observer to participate further on. Brazil was also invited, they will come if they make it in time. We are preparing this event in the Ryazan and Voronezh regions,» - Bondarev told media during the campaign of recruiting contractors in the Air Force, which took place in Astrakhan on Saturday.
According to him, the foreign participants will compete on their own aircrafts. «In 2014, we held the international competition for the first time. Our pilots won the first place in all categories, the Chinese were the second, and the Belarusians - the third. But I think that the palm of victory will be ours again, because our pilots were the best. We believe to win the first place this year too,» - the Chief of the Air Force said.
International pilot competition Aviadarts-2014 was held in Russia's Voronezh and Lipetsk regions in July. It was attended by 33 Russian Air Force crews, one Russian Navy aviation crew, two Chinese crews and two Belarusian crews. International military attachés from India, Pakistan, Egypt and Brazil were among the observers who attended the event.
