Air Canada runway overrun/crash

Post by ehusmann »

Air Canada A320 C-FTJP has gone off the runway in Halifax. From pictures the aircraft is a write off (extensive damage to wings and nose at least) and it has hit some structures. So far no injuries reported.

No link (yet), but info reported on airliners.net forum.

a statement was made:
plane clipped an antennae first, causing the loss of part of its gear, before coming down. Some 25 pax with slight injuries.
all in adverse weather.
Pretty lucky outcome.
