On 10 April 2015 Bell helicopter announced the PWGSC had signed a contract for 7 Bell 412 EPI helicopters to be operated by the Canadian Coast Guard.
First delivery is planned for June 2016, the next helicopters to be delivered with a three month interval.
Contract value 115 million Canadian dollars.
Complementing a fleet of 15 Bell 429 Global Rangers.
Replacing the Bolkow 105, Bell 206 and Bell 212.
