Azul Airlines took us to Campinas / Viracopos (VCP) in about an hour departing the airport at 1130lt and, by that time we had spent about 8 ,5 hours in total at this airport (late afternoon / early evening and part of a morning) which is more than sufficient.

Viracopos is not a very big airport however, it is the main base for Azul and spending some time here will allow you to fleet a fairly decent number of their E-Jets. Also, a bunch of their ATR's do fly out of this airport however, you won't make them all by far (about 20-25% or so). Variety almost does not exist at this airport with most of the flights coming in sporting the colourscheme of Azul. Occasionally you'll see a TAM or a GOL or otherwise a freighter as VCP is the biggest cargo-hub in Brasil. A pretty large food court is located in the terminal at the upper level and if you position yourselve overhere nothing can be missed as the single runway is in view. Worth mentioning, free WIFI is available at VCP so you can use FR24 for example to keep an eye on arrivals.

Viracopos (VCP) is the airport where we picked up our rental car which means you're able to visit some smaller airports which are otherwise a no go.
