Depands on what you want, if you want all aircraft, then East. But you get also a lot more than aircraft alone. West is nice for take off, but you wil miss fighters as they will be to high for a decent shot.

The "usual" Netherlands' Apache demo helicopter Q-17 will not be at Fairford.

Does anyone know the IDs of the US Army helicopters that arrived as "DUKE77 flight" please? I think they're all I'm missing from my website!

This morning, the 16th, RNLAF AH-64D Q-29 and Q-30 left Gilze Rijen at 11.00lt heading to Fairford. "Wally" and "Kaas"were flying the Q-30.

How are spotting posabilitys on monday? I mean are the aircraft only visible from outside or is there a posability to watch the aircraft departing from inside the base?

These tickets ARE available at the gate, only the "airshowdays" themselves aren't.

As there are no suitable parking facilities on the public highways and pedestrian walkways surrounding RAF Fairford, the Park and View enclosures are provided for your safety and convenience.

The two Park and View enclosures (East and West) are open from 7.30am Wednesday 15 July and Thursday 16 July inclusive,
and again on Monday 20 July.

Park and View includes:
•Free Parking
•Free admission for under 16s
•Toilets
•Disabled Parking
•Catering
•A stepladder enclosure within Park and View East

Park and View Opening Times Opens Closes

Monday 20 July 7.30am 4.30pm

Please note that advance tickets are only available to purchase until midnight the night before.

Q-30 often (if not always) shows up as Q-18 on Mode-S.. ;-)
