F278 (in primer on the assembly line).
F279 (in primer on the assembly line with penciled "The Last One" on the fuselage).

N277ZD is confirmed as UAE 1230.
FMS is 14-0008 and c/n 50278/F277/UE8

+1 Qatar Emiri AF (no reg). I suspect this to be F279 that will become N279ZD (14-0010). Any info anyone has is much appreciated.

Bear in mind that the QEAF are getting four new C-17s and none of them have been delivered yet so your missing one could be any of the other three.

I saw N272ZD at the ALC at Kelly AFB back in April. Not sure where it is now though.

Can anyone advise what happened to 14-0003/F272/N272ZD please?

This C-17 is also a Qatari one. With two of them confirmed so far, the situation is as follows

c/n 50273/F272 will become QA5 and serial A7-MAL/MAL (not noted yet, so to be confirmed). This is FMS 14-0003 and N272ZD
c/n 50275/F274 is QA6 with serial A7-MAM/MAM (seen LGB 11sep15 as MAM/14-0005 and noted as N274ZD on SBS)
c/n 50276/F275 will become QA7 with serial A7-MAN/MAN (not noted yet, so to be confirmed). This is FMS 14-0006 and N275ZD
c/n 50279/F278 is QA8 with serial A7-MAO/MAO (seen LGB 11sep15 as MAO/N278ZD). This is FMS 14-0009.

So this leaves only c/n 50280/F279 (FMS 14-0010/N279ZD) as "The Last One". This C-17 was seen 04may15 on the productionline with "The Last One" written on the fuselage.

Very good Hans, but can you confirm your info from official sources because my understanding is that F279 was to be the fourth for Qatar. I know things can change.
