Tu-22 over Baltic

Post by hammarö »

Two Tu-22 and two Su-27 flew earlier today monday over Baltic east of Gotland.
Maybee a Tu-22R.

They flew over international water.

Is it planned to look at the F-22?

Not Tu-22M3. Read two Tu-22M3(R).

12 built.

Not very likely, Raptors are not being used for air policing missions over the Baltics (yet).

And the F-22 are not visible from sea because they're based at Lask  8) .
But could be for SIGINT purposes.

No, all 4 are still at Spang. 2 of them only visited Lask for a few hours and returned later that day back to Spang.

If the Russian wants to see a F-22, they will send some aircraft to the borders of Alaska ;-)
