A Swiss Hornet crashed today in the Besancon area in France. Pilot has ejected and no injuries have been reported.

Losses

On 7 April 1998, a two-seater F/A-18D Hornet with military registration J5231 crashed in Crans-sur-Sierre (Canton of Valais).

The second loss of an F/A-18D occurred on 23 October 2013, when J-5237 crashed in the Lopper area near Alpnachstad in the Canton of Obwalden.

Third loss of an F/A-18D on 14 October 2015 (J-5235) in France.

I can't belief that the Swiss will now rely on only four available duals... there might be a replacement in next time. Strange that they lost so many duals in accidents.

How do you get on the number of four? There used to be eight, they've lost three, that makes five (J-5232, 3, 4, 6, ? Or am I missing something?

Well... at no point all five are available at one time. Perhaps even fewer then four. There is always one or two under maintenance. So... yes four is right.
