I guess I met you guys yesterday at Beja. Thanks for the second C-160, somehow missed reading that one off.
The four Alpha Jets flying were the 15202, 15226, 15236 and 15250. I did not see a fifth.
If you saw 5 Orions, you saw them all. The new ones (former Dutch) are the 14807 to 14811, none of the older ones is at Beja.
Was the 130606 near the fighter platforms? I saw a Herc there during lunchtime, but could not make anything out of it.
And a warning to all who want to visit Beja during Trident Juncture: security has the order to send everyone away. Officially you can just watch, but photography as well as binoculars are forbidden. Yesterday afternoon they became rather active and in the end no one was allowed to stay. They did give me an email address to send a request for permission to, although I am not sure it will be given. If you want to go and try the email, pm me. I will not post it here, but can give it to anyone.
Cheers erwin
that was us you spoke too.
the c130 130606 was near fighters. 5 alpha jet was on flight line. Is there not a old p3 (03?) Ground instruction ?
I have been on base just last year and there was no older Orion. At least not in the 601 squadron hangar, not in the main storage hangar next to it and not on the flightline.
