Russia’s Aeroflot will lease 14 former Transaero aircraft from Sberbank Leasing.
The deal—which includes 10 Boeing 737-800s planned for delivery in 2016 and four 747s—
will be announced later this week,
according to Russia’s Federal Air Transport Agency, Rosaviatsia.
Transaero, which was grounded Oct. 26 after authorities canceled its air operator’s certificate due to financial and safety concerns, had 106 aircraft.
