Flugplatz Dankern

Post by Buccaneer S.2B »

Good morning

At the entrance of Flugplatz Dankern a Cessna is preserved on a pole.
Does anyone happen to know the identity of this bird ?

Took a while, but I have the answer.

Went to Dankern today, triggered by your message. Id. of this bird is D-EFWA. It can be seen when you're real close to the aircraft, behind the Flugplatz Dankern sticker.

But here's a new question:

At the field a MiG-23 wing is standing straight up. It should be the left wing of a MiG-23 build in 1971. Leihgabe Zeltbetriebe H. Hartman, a sign on the wing says.

Geert.

Hi Geert,

Thanks for your reply !
At least someone who tried to solve a puzzle......... :D
Nevertheless the answer confused me: I took 3 pictures of the c/n plate (at the right hand side of the aircraft)
and although hardly readable (that's why I put my question in this forum) it said something different.
After some searching and scrolling several Cessna prodcution lists, I think I found out it's real identity.
It's a Reims/Cessna F150K, c/n F150-0620, delivered 07-70 and registered D-ECBG. Written off
in 1978 it was rebuilt, and registered 09-81 as D-EOBG but written off agian (date unknown).
Both the c/n (0620) and registration (D-EOBG) can be read with effort at the c/n plate pictures I took.

with kind regards,
Remco
