NAS Whidbey Island

Hello
Could anyone please give me some info about spotting round the air station please,i know there is one or two places to get some photos at,but if anyone could me some of there experiences,more the better

Plus check Whidbey's webpage. They will give dates and times when they will be using the Coupeville NOLF about 10 miles south of the base. Good shooting, better then the NAS, most of the day.

Yeah i know about the Navy using Coupeville,i'll keep my eye on the press releases.

In that case:
For RWY 14 app and 32 dep you can sit at the beach near powell rd.
For RWY 7 dep and 25 dep/app you can sit at Frostad rd or Hoffman rd. Hoffman if the local farmer does not kick you off.
For RWY 14 dep and 32 app you can sit at Hoffman rd although its pretty far from the threshold and loads of trees.

If you are a number cruncher as well you can try your luck at Forrestal Ave. You may be able to score a few P-3's on the ramp. Other then the above I think the base is obscured and one is typically SOL.
