Meteor LFBD

Post by mouscaj »

Very amazing visitor this end of afternoon on Bordeaux Mérignac Airport, near the government aircrafts and general aviation parking, stood a splendid Gloster Meteor, twin seater version. She was on a navy blue painting, with withe markings on the tail, and RAF markings, unfortunately she was parked too far for more precise identification. Park Pretections of the turbo jets were red painted.
Nice vision

Might have been Martin Baker's T Mk7.5 WA638 from what you describe. Incidentally, this still carries its serial, roundel and finflash but has been reregistered as a civil aircraft recently, becoming G-JWMA.

Thank you Frank, looks like she could the good one.
Very strange she was on LFBD, some times this kind of birds come to Cazaux AFB.
