Eagles to Qatar and (more) Hornets to Kuwait

Although the White House still needs to sign off on it, the Pentagon and State Department already have. 36 Eagles to be sold to Qatar and 24 Super Hornets to be sold to Kuwait.

Interesting. Read an article last week that said the Kuwaiti's were interested in the Typhoon.

I presume the Eagles will be of the E model variety.

I am assuming E version as well, though wouldn't be surprised if those will be called F-15Q though...
Typhoon interest may be only if the Hornet deal falls through. Obama apparantly didn't like selling more advanced weapons to the Gulf region, but it looks like it will become reality after all.

Kuwait signed a deal with Finmeccanica early april for 28 Typhoons. So the Hornet order (if it will be signed) means a boost in Kuwait's Air Force.
