F/A-18C Swiss Air Force missing

Translate = Since today 16.30lt search is ongoing to an F/A-18C from the Swiss AF, went missing in the Sustenpass area. Around 19.30lt the AF Commander will provide more information.

According to the Telegraaf and AD, near Susten, Switzerland, an F18 Hornet went missing.
PH-BZF/G, PH-LMR, PH-BXR, PH-KCD, G-EUPR, G-EUUR.

Apparently there is to be another press briefing at 22.00 hrs CET.
But whether there will be many more details at that time?

Unfortunately not. Next press conference is scheduled for 10am, today. Pilot and aircraft are still lost. :(

According to www.srf.ch the plane has been located in a very secluded and inaccessible area near the Sustenpass, but no news (yet) on the pilot.

Unfortunally no news - pilot is still missing. Debris of the aircraft where found, according to the Speaker only vers small debries and an blackened (burned) part of a cliff of a mountain. Search actually suspended due bad meteo (heli) and high danger of avalanches (ground).

Pilot now confirmed as killed in the crash. :(

Just out of curiosity, does anybody know the serial (J-50xx)?
