International tourists will be welcomed as honoured guests to the city, enjoying three days of aviation and air sports activities and entertainment. Taking place in the morning of the first day of the Festival, the KPA Air Force will perform a two hour aerobatic flying display. A number of aircraft types are anticipated to take part, including Mig-21, Mig-29, Sukhoi Su-25 jets and Hughes MD-500 helicopters. When not flying, they will be parked up at Kalma during the day as a static display for photography.

New Types Confirmed!

Antonov An-2 will be both performing as part of the flying display and, for the first time ever in the DPRK, will also be available to fly on as a 30 minute pleasure flight.

Mil Mi-8 helicopter will be available, again for the first time, for 30 minute pleasure flights.

Piper Matrix, 6 seater executive, will be available for 30 minute pleasure flights.

Alpi Pioneer 400, 4 seater light plane, will be available for 30 minute pleasure flights.

This brings the total number of aircraft types taking part in the Air Festival so far to 15: Mig-21, Mig-29, Su-25, An-2, Hughes-500, Mil-8, Mil-17, IL-18, IL-62, IL-76, Tu-134, TU-154, An-24, Alpi-400, Piper Matrix.
