REQ: Real or fake Hornet on CVN-71?

dear all,

while visiting the USS Midway in San Diego port last week, CVN-71 USS Theodore Roosevelt was for maintenance on the other side of the bay. The only thing on deck that looked like a plane was an engineless Hornet, aptly coded 71. I guess it is some sort of load trainer, does anybody know if it is 'the real deal' or just a mockup?
