January 20, 2017

On Thursday 19 January 2017, shortly after 19:00 in the evening,
residents of Jieshanzhen commune, on the east coast of China and bordering the Taiwan Strait,
were surprised by explosions in an uninhabited area.

The perimeter of the site was quickly closed, and the amateur videos show that the authorities have invested massively the premises.

After some false rumors circulating in the evening,
we finally learned from a source working at the Chinese helicopter manufacturer CAIC (Changhe Aircraft Industries Corporation)
that this is the crash of a Z attack helicopter -10 .

"This is a level 1 accident," said the CAIC engineer in an exchange with Chinese bloggers, "We were informed of the crash, the pilots did not survive ..."

In China, a Level 1 incident means that the aircraft was severely damaged or destroyed, and the crew died within 10 days of the incident.
As the accident level classification was communicated to the CAIC shortly after the crash,
it is assumed that the crew, normally composed of two persons - the pilot and the captain - in a Z-10, Of the accident.

According to the statistics, this is the first fatal accident of Z-10 since its entry into service in the Chinese Army in 2009.

The aircraft, whose registration is not yet known, would belong to the 10th Aviation Regiment of the 31st Army Group of the Chinese Army.

The crash site is approximately 23 km from the regiment's air base, suggesting that the accident took place shortly after take-off or on the way home.
