Cost cuttings continue with the recent withdrawal of the IAI Seascan from service; of the two active a/c, 931 was ferried to IAI at Ben Gurion this week and the other (or the spares source reworked) will move to the gate at Nevatim AFB. Next to go at the end of next month will be 110 squadron at Ramat David who will reportedly hold a "fly-out" on 28th Feb.
IMHO some will transfer to 117sq for OCU purposes - apparently the M.346 is just a bit too advanced for F-16 training (but ideal as an introduction for the F-35) and the rest to 115sq as mentioned above.
.... and at around 11.00 yesterday morning 20 a/c from the unit (along with another 15 hangers-on) departed to the west returning shortly after in blocks of 4 abeam. Grey and damp, but fun nonetheless for the hardy few who ventured out. A 21st a/c (tail 399) was seen active earlier in the week and was believed to have been on "static" display on base. All the a/c have recently received names, many harking back to those worn by their Vautour ancestors, I´l try to cobble together a list.

Whilst it is true that 110 had the "higher" numbers, sorting 51 nos between 301 & 399 proved too much for the IAF serial allocator, hence 359, 313 & 329 ending up with 110. Thus 359, 371, 388, 399 and the very unfortunate 368 didn't participate last week whilst the other 20 did. Well done (kol ha'cavod in local speak) to the 110 tecs - see Stratofreighters figures for Adel'A availability!
RD will be open on 02 May for those wishing to see what happens to (some of) their a/c.
